About White Pine
White Pine Land Management is a family owned, locally operated business based in Somerset, Wisconsin, St. Croix County. White Pine Land Management is owned and operated by Garret and Jennifer Belisle.
We started WPLM after we bought our house on 60 acres of land in 2018. Our land was a mix of prairie, ponds, forest, and cedar growth throughout. Generations ago our property was a pasture for livestock and it showed with some new cedar growth paired with older hardwood growth as well as populations of invasive species and hilly terrain. We found most of our land unusable. Every summer we worked many backbreaking hours to clear areas for our small hobby farm, trails for our kids to ride atvs, remove buckthorn to replace it with gardening space and once we learned more about the movements of white tail deer through our land we created food plots and shooting lanes. We learned very quickly that if we continued working manually to create our vision that we’d never have time and energy to enjoy our land. We invested in a machine and mulching head attachment to not only finish our projects and experience the full benefits of our land, we also decided to offer our experience and expertise to others with similar aspirations.
